SHARP

The Sedgeford Historical And Archaeological Project, Norfolk.

Grid Nine have been providing the Sedgeford Historical And Archaeological Project with geophysical services for several years.  They have used the geophysics results to target many of the excavations during their summer seasons.

The photographs below show the excavation of features, detected by our geophysics, during the SHARP 2005 summer season. The excavation of the grain drier (on the left), complete with skeleton, made the BBC news!

The SHARP excavations have also targeted ditch-like anomalies. One of several Anglo-Saxon ditches is shown below.
